New Day. Bright Start.

Last November we learned that Sarah was due to give birth a few weeks before her release date. Her family was concerned she wasn't getting credit for time-served in a county jail. They told us that if her jail time was included in her sentence, she'd be out before she gave birth.

We did some digging and advocated for time-served in jail to count towards her sentence and today Sarah walked out 38 weeks pregnant. She'll never know the pain of being separated from her first-born child and heading back to prison empty-handed.

That's a bright start to a new day.
